Last Call At Greater Moncton’s Only LGBTQ Bar

The lights at Greater Moncton’s only LGBTQ bar will be turned off for the last time on Saturday night.

After 23 years of running the business, the owners of Triangles are retiring and closing the bar.

Co-owner Stella Fougere hopes the establishment will eventually continue but stay within the gay community.

She adds local blues artist Theresa Melanfant, who performed with her band on opening night, is expected to be on hand for the final night.

A drag show will kick off Saturday’s final curtain followed later by a number of guest DJ’s mixing music for the last dance.

Tickets for the event are on sale at Leon’s Antiques, 374 St. George Street, which is open from 10am-4pm.
