Elections NB has recorded a significant jump in the number of voters who turned out to cast ballots in the upcoming New Brunswick provincial election.
Chief electoral officer Mike Quinn says more than 20,000 additional ballots were counted this time compared to 2010.
Quinn says more than 69,000 voters cast ballots in the most recent advance polls compared to about 49,000 voters last time.
He adds it could be that many voters simply find advance polls more convenient.
