Northeast RCMP have arrested two people after seizing more than 1.5 million contraband cigarettes on the Acadian Peninsula.
Following a search warrant at a home in the Caraquet area, a 63-year-old woman and 35-year-old man were arrested.
Police also seized nearly eight pounds of marijuana, a large quantity of alcohol and cash during the search.
The man and woman have been released on a promise to appear in court at a later date.
