Labour Day: What’s Open And Closed

It’s Labour Day today, meaning many workers will have the day off.

All federal, provincial and municipal government offices are closed.

Banks and post offices are also closed, and Canada Post is not delivering any mail.

Grocery stores, malls, and big-box stores are closed.

NB Liquor and Cannabis NB stores are closed, but a number of agency liquor stores will be open.

Many pharmacies will be open but may have reduced hours of operation.

Several other businesses may be closed or have reduced operating hours today, so it is best to call ahead.

A number of walk-in COVID-19 vaccination clinics are taking place throughout the province, despite the holiday.

That includes one at Exhibition Park in Saint John from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and another at the Moncton Coliseum from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Both clinics will be offering Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna vaccines.

A third clinic at the Campbellton Regional Hospital from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. will be offering the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine.
