Kouchibouguac National Park is now open for the 2015 season with so much to offer outdoor enthusiasts including camping and biking.
The park includes barrier islands, sand dunes, lagoons, salt marshes and forests.
A harsh winter has taken its toll on the park but officials say most of the snow has melted and maintenance is well underway.
Kouchibouguac spokesperson Jermome Lucier says the park has made some upgrades for campers this season.
Known as a biker’s paradise, Lucier says while some bike trails are open, others are still wet and may not be accessible until the ground dries up.
It may be a bit early for swimming but by mid-summer, the salt water off Kelly’s Beach is the warmest north of Virginia.
