Outpatient cardiology services are now available at the Stella-Maris-de-Kent Hospital.
The Friends of the Hospital Foundation raised $237,000 which more than covered the cost of the equipment.
The Vitalite Health Network says the hospital now has a diagnostic treadmill, a cardiac ultrasound device and several cardiology-related pieces of computer equipment.
The new services will mean less travelling for patients in Kent County who were accessing outpatient cardiology services at the Georges Dumont Hospital.
