It’s Time For School Supply Shopping!

Just over two weeks until the kids go back to school, and shopping for school supplies may be top of mind for parents.

If your child is a student in the Anglophone East School District and you’re unsure of what they need, District spokesperson Pamela Wilson says it’s easy to find out, “These lists are posted on our District website, and I know several stores have copies of them as well. Most students received a copy with their report cards in June as well.”

Wilson says standard lists for each grade were created by the district several years ago, with the help of teachers. There is a standard list of school supplies for each year in Kindergarten through grade 12.

“It’s recommended that all of their supplies are brought to school on the first day of school. That helps because sometimes the teachers divide them up for the students, or put them aside and then they know what they have to work with. They also start using them the first day, so it certainly help to have those supplies as soon as possible,” Wilson adds.

Students head back to class on September 5th.
