It’s Jersey Day In Support Of The Humboldt Broncos

You may notice a lot of jerseys in your schools or even workplaces today.

To understand what it means to be Canadian: Growing up your life is surrounded by hockey. Even if you didn’t play in a junior league you still learned to skate and play hockey in school. You play hockey on the lake at the farm with your buddies. And if it wasn’t you it was your brother, cousins, dad, uncles etc… We know the feeling of your friends driving for many days on the bus to small towns across the country to play the game they love. So with this tragedy we are all standing strong with the families of the kids on that bus. It’s shocking and doesn’t make any sense. But we stand by them and hold them in our prayers. #humboldtstrong #hockey #jerseyday #canada

It is Jersey Day across the region. Students will be wearing their wearing a jersey of their choice today in honour of the those affected by the Humboldt Broncos crash.

Donations will also be made to the affected families on behalf of the school communities.
