Students in Riverview are learning to “Get Up and Stand Up to Bullying” It’s all part of a tour by Saidat, who is a motivational speaker, singer, songwriter and author.
The tour also features winners from YTV’s show “Next Star”.
Saidat says they teach the kids about bullying interactively, “I use music, dance and drama to convey the message that one person can make a difference, but together we can change the world. “
Yesterday, the tour reached out to students at Claude D Taylor School. Today, they are at West Riverview School and on Friday, at Frank L Bowser School.
Last year’s tour reached over 170 schools and over 71, 000 students.
Saidat says they will be returning to Atlantic Canada in October and May, and they are looking to speak with any schools that would be interested in bringing the tour to their facility.
