Indiana Governor Mike Pence was formally introduced as Trump’s choice, after being revealed in a tweet yesterday.

Pence is a former state representative in Washington where he opposed the closure of the Guantanamo Bay detention camp, and advocated against allowing gay people to serve in the military.
In his speech, Pence says he supports Trump’s no nonsense leadership approach, which runs contrary to several public clashes with Trump over immigration policy.

Pence stressed his allegiances in his speech by saying he is a Christian, a Conservative and a Republican in that order.
