The number of votes cast over the two advanced polling days surpassed totals from 2014.
Spokesperson for Elections NB Paul Harpelle says the unofficial total for 2018 is just over 87, 500 votes.
Just over 67, 000 votes were cast during the last provincial election.
Elections NB is cautioning people not to conclude the higher turnout is an indicator that there will be more voters overall.
Harpelle says voters may have simply opted to cast a ballot early.
