Increase in moose harvested during this year’s hunt

There was a slight increase in the number of moose harvested this year in New Brunswick.

That is according to preliminary numbers from the Department of Natural Resources.

Around 4,113 moose were harvested during the most recent hunting season.

That was up nearly one per cent from the 4,081 moose harvested in 2023.

There were 5,124 resident moose licences available this season.

Moose hunting season ran from Sept. 24 to 28.
