New Brunswick is not expected to feel much of an impact from a powerful Atlantic hurricane named Gonzalo, according to Environment Canada.
Meteorologist Claude Cote says although the storm will be well offshore, eastern Nova Scotia could get heavy rain.
Cote says the rain New Brunswick is receiving over the next couple days is not associated with the hurricane.
Environment Canada says Hurricane Gonzalo could brush eastern Newfoundland on Saturday.
