RCMP are investigating after human remains were discovered in Grand Bay-Westfield.
Police say it was Sunday when they were discovered by someone walking their dog in the woods near Nerepis Road and Route 7.
When officers arrived on scene, they found the clothing on the remains matched exactly what 79-year-old Ruth Carol Sutton was described to be wearing when she was last seen on May 25.
Forensics, police dogs and the Coroner’s Office are helping with the case.
At this time, the remains have not been identified.
