How Will You Beat The Heat Today?

The heat and humidity is back for much of central and southern New Brunswick.

Environment Canada has issued a heat warning for several areas, including the Kennebecasis Valley, Sussex, St. Stephen, Fredericton and Grand Lake.

“A warm and humid airmass will move into New Brunswick today and persist on Wednesday,” said the weather agency in a statement Monday afternoon.

Daytime highs near 30°C are expected both days with humidex values near 35. There will be little relief at night, with overnight lows remaining between 18°C and 20°C.

Temperatures will remain slightly cooler in communities along the Fundy coast.

“Temperature and humidity levels will decrease Wednesday night and into Thursday morning as a cold front sweeps across the province Wednesday night,” said the weather agency.

Environment Canada says you should try and schedule outdoor activities during the coolest parts of the day and seek a cool place when possible.
