Home Damaged After Armed Robbery And Police Chase

A home on McSweeney Avenue was significantly damaged after a short police chase early this morning.

RCMP Sergeant Tyson Nelson says officers were called to Main Street after reports of an armed robbery with a knife.

The suspect fled in a vehicle, which resulted in a chase by police.

It ended when the man crashed into the home.

A 34-year-old man was arrested a short distance away with the aid of a police dog.

Sergeant Nelson says no one in the home or in the armed robbery was hurt.
