Former provincial Finance Minister Blaine Higgs, the M-L-A for Quispamsis, is scheduled to make an announcement tomorrow morning at which time he will spell out his intentions for the leadership of the provincial Conservative party.
Former Health Minister Ted Flemming, the M-L-A for Rothesay, says he has been approached to run for the leadership but hasn’t made anything official one way or the other yet.
The new leader will be chosen in October when the Conservatives gather in Fredericton for a convention.
