Heritage Week Celebrates Province’s Historic Roots

The province is celebrating its rich heritage this week.

Heritage Week 2020 runs until next Monday, February 17th. This year’s theme is ‘Bringing the Past into the Future.’

In a release, the province says heritage comes in many forms: cultural and natural, architectural, archaeological, and through diverse traditions.

Tourism Minister Robert Gauvin says this week is a perfect time to think about the province’s roots by visiting museums, historic sites, and cultural centres.

Gauvin hopes Heritage Week will also encourage New Brunswickers to connect with their families, friends, neighbours, and educators, and listen to their stories of the past.

More information about Heritage Week can be found online.
