Parts of southern New Brunswick are once again going to be drenched with rain — but not before a bit of snow first.
The snow started overnight in many communities, and Environment Canada meteorologist Andy Firth tells us it will change to rain as the day goes on.

There’s a rainfall warning in effect for much of southern and southwestern New Brunswick, including Saint John, the KV, Sussex, St. Stephen and Fredericton.
“Depending on exactly where you are over the Fundy coast and southwestern areas of the province, it could be anywhere up to 60 millimetres,” says Firth.
“Over southeastern areas, we’re probably only looking at around 20 millimetres of rain before it all tapers off tomorrow afternoon, and then temperatures start to drop again.”
Most areas will see about 2 to 4 centimetres of snow before the changeover, although some inland areas over higher terrain could see 10 centimetres.

It’s a different story in northern New Brunswick, where up to 20 centimetres of snow could fall in some areas.
“In fact, we have a snowfall warning out for northwestern areas, but pretty well everywhere up north is also going to have a snow-changing-to-rain scenario, they’ll just have a bit more snow before it does change to rain.”
