Temperature records were smashed across the province yesterday.
At the Greater Moncton Romeo Leblanc International Airport, the highest temperature came at around 5 in the afternoon, with the thermometer hitting 33.4 degrees.
That breaks the record of 31.4 degrees from 1983.
Other communities to hit records include Fredericton and Bouctouche.
The hot spot in the province yesterday was St.Stephen at 34.1 degrees. That breaks a record from 2017, when it hit 31.8.
There’s no relief in sight for today. It will be another scorcher, with the heat warning still in place.
Environment Canada is calling for a high of 33 today with a humidex of 41.
