Heat Warning For Most Of New Brunswick

A heat warning has been issued for almost all of New Brunswick for Monday and Tuesday except along the Fundy coast.

Environment Canada says highs could reach 34 degrees on Monday and it will feel even warmer with the humidex while Tuesday will be about 30 degrees.

Meteorologist Ian Hubbard says this heat wave will be short-lived with relief by late tomorrow.

“We are expecting a bit of a cold front to go through (on Tuesday) and that could even give us showers and a risk of thundershowers later in the day. And then after that passes, we are expecting a little bit cooler and drier air,” he says.

Starting Wednesday, Hubbard adds temperatures will be in the low to mid-twenties which is normal for mid-July and where they should hold for the remainder of the week.
