Growth continues for Anglophone East School District

Enrolment continues to rise in the Anglophone East School District.

Superintendent Randolph MacLEAN says they’re starting the school year with around 19, 000 students.

“We had worked closely with the city, with the province and with the recruitment agencies, so we knew and we saw the growth. We were growing 60 students per month last year. So we predicted we were going to come in somewhere just over 19,000 and that is going to come true,” MacLEAN says.

Those students are spread out through all grades, from K to 12.

He anticipates that by the years 2025/2026, the School District will be looking at upwards of 23, 000 students.
