Greyhound Foster Homes Needed

Foster homes for greyhounds are needed.

The Maritime Greyhound Adoption Program hopes to bring more dogs to Canada in early April.

But President and Founder Deb Levasseur says they have to ensure that they have a home to go to first, “We have a chance to bring some of these dogs on April 2nd, but we need to find about six to eight more foster homes before we can do that. We need to have the homes lined up before we bring them, because we never use a kennel, we use foster homes only.”

It’s a fairly quick process to be approved to become a foster, you have to apply and be interviewed first.

The dog will be placed in your home until they are ready to go to their forever home.

It usually takes around two weeks.
