After a lengthy investigation, Miramichi Police say 21-year-old Ethen James Harnish of Grand Falls is now facing a charge of first degree murder.
The remains of 21-year-old Brandon Martin were found along a section of the Renous Highway last week.
Martin had been missing since May 22, 2019.
Police arrested Harnish last week and he was charged with offering an indignity to human remains.
Harnish remains in custody and will return to court on June 16.
