A Grand Barachois couple thought they won big on ‘Set for Life’ but they embarked on a two month vacation before knowing for sure.
Mike Griffiths and Evelyn Godin just returned from the Dominican Republic this week and Godin says they finally got their scratch ticket confirmed.
“Every once in a while, my husband would pick one (Set for Life) up for me and he picked one up a couple days before we left. I didn’t scratch it until the night we were leaving so we couldn’t cofirm it until we got back yesterday morning,” she notes.
The couple chose a lump sum of $675,000 and they plan to do more travelling and help out their children and grandchildren.
