Good News For Gallant Government From Credit Raters

The provincial government has received its third favourable credit rating since the 2016-17 budget was released.

The “A”plus rating comes from Standard and Poor’s which says it expects New Brunswick’s budgetary performance will continue to strengthen modestly over the next two years because of cost efficiencies and it expects the province will stay on course to balance the budget by 2021.

Earlier, Moody’s and the Dominion Bond Rating Service gave the province favourable ratings.
