The Greater Moncton Chamber of Commerce is asking its members if they would like to have a direct flight from the Hub City to St. John’s, Newfoundland.
The last direct connection was a short-lived one in 2013 from Quebec-based Pascan Aviation.
Chamber CEO Carol O’Reilly says getting from Moncton to Newfoundland right now is not an easy task.
“It means either taking a short hop flight to Halifax and waiting there in the airport for a connection or hopping in the car and driving to the Halifax airport,” she notes.
O’Reilly says a direct flight to St. John’s would mean business between the two cities could be conducted in a much faster way than right now.
