It has been a tough season for Poley Mountain in Sussex.
After the loss of their lodge earlier this month, they are now using trailers to accommodate their customers.
But the General Manager it’s the weather that is causing the bigger concern right now.
Bill Anderson says with the warmer temperatures, it has been very hard to make snow.
He says, “Ideal conditions are minus 10 or minus 12, with dry air and a nice wind out of the northwest, make it perfect.”
The forecast over the next few days are exactly what Anderson has been looking for. Environment Canada is calling for highs of minus 13, and lows of minus 20 at night.
