Emergency responders will be rolling up their sleeves in Moncton today, and giving the gift of life.
Fire Prevention Officer Steve Richardson says they’re not only continuing their friendly competition to see who can bring in the most blood. This is also a day to recognize, “This is a special event for us, this is our 20th Guns and Hoses blood donor clinic. We started a few years back doing one in the summer and this is an anniversary for us.”
Richardson says there’s always a need for blood, “I know that everyone is busy at this time of year, but unfortunately bad things happen to good people and we just want to make sure the blood supply is there for those who need it. There is nothing better you can do at Christmas time except take a half hour out of your day and give the gift of life.”
You can donate from 10am until 6pm today at 500 Mapleton Road.
