Girl Saved From Drowning

Thanks to the quick actions by a lifeguard at the Aquatic Centre in Saint John early last night, a five year old girl was saved from drowning.

The Multicultural Association was staging an event when the lifeguard noticed something at the bottom of the pool where the water slides are. It turned out to be a child.

The lifeguard performed C-P-R on the child and revived her. It’s believed she was in the water for less than a minute.

The girl was taken to hospital for observation and will survive.
