Ginette Petitpas Taylor Wins Liberal Nomination For Moncton-Riverview-Dieppe

The Liberal candidate for the riding of Moncton Riverview and Dieppe is Ginette Petitpas Taylor.

After yesterday afternoon’s nomination meeting, Petitpas Taylor came out ahead of Moncton Mayor George Leblanc, winning a little more than 60 percent of the vote.

Slighty over 1-thousand Liberal party members showed up at Harrison Trimble High School yesterday for the meeting.

Petitpas Taylor is the coordinator for Codiac RCMP’s Victim Services program, as well as being heavily involved in committees and boards across Moncton.

She was chairwoman of the New Brunswick Advisory Council of the Status of Women from 2004 to 2008, and has served on the City of Moncton’s public safety advisory committee.

Petitpas Taylor will go up against Conservative incumbent MP Robert Goguen in this fall’s federal election.
