Gas Line Rupture Forces Closure of West Main Street

A natural gas leak forced the closure of West Main for several hours today.

Moncton fire was on scene, and blocked the Street from Jones Lake to Enterprise for over three hours.

Platoon Chief Brian MacDonald says a large gas line was ruptured, so it took some time before Enbridge Gas could get it repaired.

No one had to be evacuated.
