Gas, diesel prices expected to drop in N.B.

Look for a break at the fuel pumps on Thursday night, according to an industry source.

Gasoline prices in New Brunswick are expected to fall by around two cents per litre.

Diesel users should see prices come down by more than four cents per litre.

Currently, New Brunswickers are paying a maximum of $1.72 per litre for regular self-serve, $1.73 per litre for diesel, and $1.43 per litre for home heating oil.

In Nova Scotia, regular self-serve ranges from $1.71 to $1.75 per litre while diesel is selling for between $1.71 and $1.75 per litre.

On Prince Edward Island, the price for regular self-serve is around $1.76 per litre, diesel costs around $1.80 per litre, and home heating oil is selling for a maximum of $1.26 per litre.

The New Brunswick Energy and Utilities Board adjusts prices every Friday at 12:01 a.m.
