New Brunswick students could soon be learning JavaScript and HTML alongside mathematics and social studies.
That’s the aim of the new provincial Liberal government who plan to introduce coding into the school curriculum according to Premier Brian Gallant.
He tells us they want to ensure that STEM is a priority within the provincial education system and they want to get things like coding into schools because they believe that will help New Brunswick youth not only be able to understand technology, but create technology.
Gallant also wants to get trades back into the schools and says the provincial Minister of Education is going to be embarking on a non-partisan process to develop a 10-year education plan.
