A police officer in Fredericton is under investigation for impaired driving.
A single vehicle accident led to the investigation and an off-duty member of the Fredericton Police Force was arrested.
Criminal charges will be laid.
The police member being suspended with pay, as per the New Brunswick Police Act.
The Police Act investigation will continue once the criminal process is complete.
