Fredericton police say a woman was taken to hospital with injuries after being assaulted in the city last night.
Officers were called to a south side apartment building shortly after 9 p.m. yesterday for a report of an assault with a weapon and firearm related offences.
The woman was later released from hospital after being treated for her injuries.
An adult male was arrested, and police say he’ll be appearing in court at a later date.
