The Grand Lake area has been hard hit by this flood and no one knows that more than the Fredericton-Grand Lake Progressive Conservative MLA.
Pam Lynch tells CHSJ News she has been out on the water and people do not realize the extent of the devastation.
“I’ve seen houses off foundations I`ve seen water right up to the rooftop,” says Lynch.
“It’s just heartbreaking to see people losing their homes because, you know, there are just as many homes down there as there are cottages.”
Lynch says she is really proud of the job all the first responders have done in dealing with the emergency, as well as the great job by the New Brunswick Emergency Measures Organization.
