Four students from Universite de Moncton are winners in the 13th National Essay Contest entitled “French for the Future”
More than 500 Francophone and Francophile students submitted an essay this year. The theme was linked to the 150th anniversary of Canada’s Confederation.

The winners from New Brunswick in the French as a second language category were Elizabeth Landry from Salisbury and Vanessa Laplante from Moncton.
In the French as a first language category, Ellie Cote from Shediac River and Marie-Eve Michaud from Grand Sault.
Seventy-six scholarships were awarded, totalling $250, 000.
