A brand new role in the Legislative Assembly is awaiting the former Finance Minister in the Alward cabinet.
MLA-elect for the riding of Quispasmsis Blaine Higgs will be part of the provincial Opposition for the first time. He tells us whatever role he plays will be to build on what his outgoing Conservative government has done so far and he will not criticize something he supported in the past.
Higgs says he gets concerned when people’s positions change from opposition to government, saying it’s just games and we need to get beyond the games.
Higgs defeating Liberal candidate Mary Schryer, AJ Griffen of the NDP, Patrick Kemp of the Green Party and Brandon Gardner of the People’s Alliance.
