Metro Moncton residents have being doing a good job at making donations over the winter to Food Depot Alimentaire.
But now that spring is here, the shelves are starting to get bare.
Board member Heather Robinson says clients who have to turn to the food bank are often faced with tough choices.
“Do I pay to keep the heat on at home when the temperature falls or do we feed the kids? That is when they come to the Food Depot and that is when our organization becomes the most critical.”
Robinson says donation bins will be set up at many events during the upcoming Moncton 125 festival at the end of the month including the Simple Plan concert at Riverfront Park on April 24.
