Fitness Expert Says Take The Time To Move Each Day

Gyms were forced to close when Zone 1, the Moncton region went to the red level of the COVID-19 recovery plan.

If you are struggling to get your workout in, Teddy Savage From Planet Fitness says using things around the house can be just as effective, “You can use things like water bottles, canned goods, children’s toys, pillows. Whatever you have at your disposal to get an effective good workout.”

He says just taking to the time to move each day is important, “Just waking up and getting into some sort of routine is something to celebrate. “Any amount of mighty minutes you can invest in your wellness journey is enough. If you don’t have anything at your disposal to add resistance, just get your body moving. That will improve your cardio respiratory health, and the heart is the most important muscle in the body.”

Savage says make sure you are also drinking plenty of water during your workout and throughout the day.

Zone 1 has been at the red level since January 19th.
