First snowfall of season forecast Monday

If you live in Southern or Central New Brunswick, it’s time for the winter boots, coats and shovels.

Environment Canada has issued a Special Weather Statement for areas including Greater Moncton, Sussex, Fredericton, St. Stephen and Northern Charlotte County, Rexton and Rogersville, calling for our first blast of winter.

Up to five centimetres of snow is forecast to fall between Monday morning and evening.

Environment Canada says the snow may mix with or change over to rain in southern and central areas during the afternoon.
Higher amounts are expected over areas of higher terrain.

Motorists should be prepared for winter driving conditions.
