New figures show 81 per cent of eligible New Brunswickers now have at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.
The latest numbers from Public Health released Thursday show more than 1,100 people got their first jab Wednesday.
More than 7,100 other people received their second dose of a vaccine at a regional health authority clinic, a participating pharmacy, or a mobile vaccination clinic.
That means 61.7 per cent of New Brunswickers aged 12 and older have now received both doses.
Seventy-five per cent of eligible New Brunswickers must be fully vaccinated before the province moves to the green phase. The province has set a target of New Brunswick Day, Aug. 2.
The number of eligible New Brunswickers with one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine has now reached 81%.

Meantime, New Brunswick reported one new case of COVID-19 on Thursday (July 22).
Public Health says the case is travel-related and involves someone in their 60’s in the Fredericton region.
No one is in hospital and there are no new recoveries.
The active case count now stands at eight.
A series of mobile vaccination clinics are taking place throughout the province for those who have not yet received their first or second dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.
Four of these walk-in clinics will be taking place over the next two days:
- La Salle du Citoyen, 4 St-Jean St., Kedgwick, today, Thursday, July 22, between noon and 6 p.m.
- Middle Southampton Community Hall, 1782 Campbell Settlement Rd. (off Route 105), Southampton, today, Thursday, July 22, between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m.
- Four Seasons Complex, 2551 Route 111, St. Martins, on Friday, July 23, between noon and 5 p.m.
- Ambulance New Brunswick station, 523 St-Jean St., Unit A, Saint-Léonard, on Friday, July 23, between noon and 6 p.m.
Several community clinics are also talking walk-ins without appointments over the coming days.
