Members of the Oromocto Fire Department were forced to battle a house fire in floodwaters on Route 105.
Around 9 o’clock Sunday morning, firefighters arrived at a home and found heavy flames coming out of the attic and a window on the second floor.
Firefighters found themselves waist deep in floodwaters as they put out the blaze.
The home was unoccupied at the time since the owner managed to get out safely.
No one was hurt.
The cause of the fire is not known.
