Fire destroys Pointe-du-Chene home

No one was hurt in a fire at a Pointe-du-Chene home.

It happened at around 12:45 a.m. Wednesday on Satinwood Drive.

Shediac Fire Chief Julien Boudreau says the home was engulfed in flames when they arrived.

They managed to get the fire under control within 15 minutes.

The residence was destroyed, and neighbouring homes were also damaged.

RCMP, Ambulance New Brunswick, Cap-Acadie Fire Department and the Office of the Fire Marshal also responded.

Around 20 firefighters were there for around two hours extinguishing the hot spots. The cause is under investigation.
