Fire Damages Apartment In Moncton

Several tenants have been temporarily displaced after a fire in a three-storey apartment building on Mountain Road.

The Canadian Red Cross says firefighters managed to contain the fire to one unit on Sunday afternoon, but there is water damage to another.

Emergency lodging and purchases including food and clothing were arranged for one man from the water-damaged unit.

Tenants in the other units are getting help through insurers.

No injuries were reported.
