Over Fifty Dogs Seized From NB Kennel

The New Brunswick S-P-C-A has seized more than 50 dogs from a breeding kennel west of Campbellton.

Animal Protection Officers performed an unannounced check of the registered kennel last week.

They say the dogs were confined in unsanitary conditions and suffering from medical issues such as ear mites, emaciation and dental problems.

A total of 53 dogs and puppies were seized and relocated to several shelters around the province.

Officials say the dogs should be looking for new homes once they receive treatment and recover.

The New Brunswick S-P-C-A says their investigation is ongoing.
