Ten accomplished New Brunswickers were invested into the Order of New Brunswick at a ceremony in Fredericton today.
Among those inducted include Metro Moncton fiddler Ivan Hicks for his work promoting the province’s musical culture.
Guy A. Richard of Bouctouche for his exceptional record as a judge and for contributions and advances in research at the Universite de Moncton.
Roger Augustine of the Eel Ground First Nation for his efforts in improving the well-being of First Nations in the province as well as strengthening relationships between the aboriginal and non-aboriginal communities.
Another musician was also invested – internationally-known Roch Voisine from St-Basile for his contributions to the music industry both here at home and around the world.
