Ten small craft harbours along the coast of eastern New Brunswick will be getting upgrades thanks to $10 million in federal funding.
Beausejour MP and federal minister Dominic LeBlanc calls this a major investment which supports both the commercial fishery and coastal communities as a whole.
Some of the projects include wharf reconstruction in Richibucto, a launching ramp will be built in Grande-Digue and the dredging of basins and channels will occur at seven harbours including in Cap-Pele and Cap-Lumiere.
As part of a federal program to divest small harbours, repairs will also be made to the Robichaud harbour before it is turned over to a third party by 2020.
