Fatal Truck Crash Near Fredericton

A 53-year-old man has died after a tractor-trailer hauling a load of logs left the road west of Fredericton.

Mounties say they responded to the crash in Prince William just after 7 a.m. on Friday.

They say the tractor-trailer went through a guardrail and into the ditch where Pokiok Settlement Road meets Highway 102.

Police say the driver of the truck, who was from Woodstock, N.B, was thrown from the vehicle and died at the scene.

No one else was in the truck and no other vehicles were involved, police say.

The RCMP are continuing their investigation.
